"The Crowned Heads La Vereda uses tobacco that was aged based on the type of tobacco used, and its ideal aging time needed to produce the desired flavor/strength profile for this particular blend. The La Vereda uses a rare Nicaraguan shade-grown wrapper that was aged for at least four years prior to rolling. Its Nicaraguan Jalapa binder houses filler leaves that have been aged for a minimum of three years. The filler uses the following leaves: a Nicaraguan Esteli Corojo ’99 seed grown, a Dominican Republic Piloto Cubano, an Esteli seco and a Jalapa Criollo ’98 seed viso leaf. Once rolled, the cigars are aged in a heavily monitored climate controlled environment that requires the room to be kept at 65-66 degrees Fahrenheit with a relative humidity level of 68-69%. To maintain the highest level of quality control, only a highly skilled team of seven boncheros and seven rollers were allowed to craft the cigars. The Crowned Heads La Vereda cigar is handmade in the Dominican Republic at the Tabacalera La Alianza, which is owned and operated by globally recognized cigar crafter Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr."
